The Big Waves collection contains 18 of the best "surf rock" songs ever made, covering over five decades! In the mid 60's, the Beach Boys were at the forefront of the surf music scene that was developing in Southern California and Hawaii. Guitarist Dick Dale helped define the genre even further with his instrumental mastery of the sound and the popularity of this music eventually spread throughout the country and the world.
