Wristband is no longer worn only as a fashion accessory as now purchasing one can also help individuals impacted by cancer. Starbucks Coffee Malaysia in collaboration with National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) will be promoting cancer awareness and advocating early detection and screening of cancer through donation-purchase of CELEBRATELIFE wristbands.
The NCSM Cancer Awareness Wristband is a concept adapted from Lance Armstrong Foundation’s very successful Cancer Campaign and Cancer Survivorship Education, Resources and Programs.
It is themed CELEBRATELIFE as the campaign seeks to create awareness about the impact of cancer, motivate individuals with cancer with hope, compassion and empowerment and commemorate individuals who have succumbed to the disease.
Starting May 1st 2005, customers can support the campaign by purchasing the Cancer Awareness CELEBRATELIFE wristband for only RM5 at any Starbucks Coffee stores in Malaysia.
CELEBRATELIFE wristbands are available in yellow (RM5), blue (RM5), green (RM5), pink (RM5), glow-in-the-dark (RM5) and inter-locking black and white (RM10).
